Running/walking in town is much different than at home. Back at home it was just me and the corn fields with an occasional tractor going by. Here, well, there is a lot more than that. However, there are a few things that keep me from feeling homesick and remind me that I am not that far from where I came from.

There are places to smell freshly turned earth in town. This little skid loader working on someone's yard made my olfactory morning.

There are quiet places to sit in the sun to pray and think. The grounds around the back of the cathedral make for a perfect quiet spot.

And, just like at home, parking your boat out back is acceptable in the city as well. Somethings I guess are the same no matter where you go...
